THE QUEEN OF ANTIOXIDANTS
This is no ordinary plum.
Queen Garnet plum was discovered in Queensland as the result of a number of cross breeds, meaning it is not genetically modified. When researchers cut into the plum and saw its deep purple colour, they knew this was indicative of its antioxidant profile.
The fruit contains quercetin and anthocyanins (antioxidants which give the fruit a very deep purple colour). While other fruits high in these antioxidants tend to be bitter or tart, Queen Garnet has a uniquely delicious and sweet flavour profile.
Queen Garnet has been studied extensively by universities across Australia as a gold standard in antioxidant research. The health benefits of Queen Garnet include:
May be good for heart health
May reduce oxidative stress
May help reduce systematic inflammation
May reduce free radical damage
May help stimulate a healthy immune response
