What is anthocyanin?
Anthocyanin is an antioxidant found in many naturally dark coloured fruits, such as blackcurrants, blueberries and raspberries. It’s the pigment that gives the Queen Garnet its very dark purple flesh and skin.
What is the difference between the Queen Garnet and other plum varieties?
With a longer hanging time on the tree, the Queen Garnet is able to continue to increase its antioxidant content.

What is Queen Garnet Nectar?
Our nectar is made from 100 percent Queen Garnet plums, with no added sugar, noadded colours or flavours, and no concentrate. We puree whole plums with much of thefibre kept intact, though we also capture some of the fibre and most of the skins to freezedry into Queen Garnet powder. This makes QG Nectar more like a 100% fruit smoothie, than a typical juice.
How many Queen Garnets are there in a bottle of Nectar?
There are approximately three Queen Garnet plums per 250ml bottle of nectar.
Is the QG Probiotic & Prebiotic Powder the same as the QG Powder Sachets?
No, these powders are different! QG Probiotic & Prebiotic Powder contains 37% freeze dried QG plum powder in addition to a variety of prebiotics and 5 billion CFU probiotics per serve. QG Powder Sachets are 100% freeze dried QG plum powder, designed for customers who are seeking the antioxidants from the QG plum and not looking for a gut health product.
Do the QG Powder Sachets and QG Probiotic & Prebiotic Powder dissolve in water?
While parts of these powders will dissolve, they are not completely soluble as we considered maintaining the fibre content more important than ensuring solubility. If mixing our powders in water does not appeal to you, they are delicious mixed in with yoghurt, cereal, and smoothies!

The QG Probiotic & Prebiotic Powder contains Bacillus coagulans, a robust spore forming probiotic which means it is stable in harsh environments. It’s safe to keep at room temperature, and also more adept at surviving the journey through the harsh conditions of the digestive tract.

Is the Queen Garnet genetically modified?
No. The Queen Garnet was a result of cross-breeding (the transferring of pollen from one plant to another) in 1997. Genetic modification involves the transferring of a gene from one plant to another.
